Inclusive Option:
The Apollo All Inclusive Pack is available for an additional NZD$49 per day. This includes:
- VIP Insurance (Excess NZD$250)
- Diesel Tax Recovery Fee
- LP Gas Refill Option
- Camp Table and Chairs
- Baby / Booster Seats (must be pre-booked)
(maximum charge for Inclusive Pack is NZD$2450)

Minimum Rental Period:
There is a minimum rental period of 5 Days, accept for one way rentals where the minimum is 7 days. Rentals between 23 December and 10 January are subject to a minimum of 10 days rental.

One Way Rentals:
One Way Rentals are available at no additional cost.
A minimum rental period of 7 days applies.

Diesel Tax Recovery Fee:
The Diesel Tax Recovery Fee will be calculated and collected on return of the vehicle based on the kilometres travelled during the hire.
Hi Top / Cheapa Campa: NIL
2 Berth ST / Cheapa Camper ST: NZD$3.20 per 100kms
4 Berth: NZD$3.40 per 100kms
6 Berth: NZD$3.70 per 100kms
Diesel Tax Recovery fee is included in the Inclusive rates.

LP Gas Re-Fill:
The gas bottle(s) is supplied full. A service fee is payable on pick up of the vehicle:
$15 – Cheapa Campa/Hitop Campervan/2 Berth ST
$30 – 4 and 6 Berth Motorhomes

The gas bottle can be returned empty to Apollo at the completion of the rental. The fee applies for each part of a multiple rental.

Vehicle Equipment:
Standard Rental Rates include living equipment such as bedding, cooking equipment, eating utensils, bath and tea towels.
You will also receive an Apollo Welcome Pack for the first night which includes matches, mini shampoo and conditioner, dishwashing liquid, sponge, soap, salt and pepper, coffee, tea and sugar satchels.

Additional Extras:

**Baby / Booster Seats can only be fitted to the 4 and 6 berth vehicles.

Vehicle Insurance:
The Standard rates includes Vehicle Insurance with an Excess / Deductible of NZD$5000 per incident. This excess can be reduced by purchasing one of the following options:

Reduction Option 1: Pay an additional NZD$20 per day (max $1000), and this will reduce the excess to NZD$2500 per incident. Bond NZD$2500.

Reduction Option 2: Pay an additional NZD$35 per day (max $1750), and this will reduce the excess to NZD$250 per incident. Bond NZD$250.

**For Australian Residents, check you Travel Insurance Policy as you may be covered for rental vehicle excess up to a certain amount. If you do not yet have travel insurance, ask us for a quote. We offer a 20% discount on Travel Insurance when booked with your motorhome rental.

Single Vehicle Liability:
If a Single Vehicle Accident (an accident not involving another vehicle) occurs on any access roads to ski fields or campgrounds then an additional non-waiverable Liability of $5000 will apply.

Security Deposit:
You are required to leave a security deposit (same as your excess amount) at the time of pick up. The security deposit is equal to your excess amount.

Drivers Licence Requirements:
A valid, non-provisional, state or overseas driver’s licence is required. If the driver’s licence is not in the English language (e.g. German, French, Chinese, etc) then an international driver’s licence is also required. The driver’s licence must have been held for at least two years and be valid for the whole length of the rental. The original driver’s licence must be shown at time of pick-up when the driver is present.

Minimum and Maximum Age:
The minimum age to drive the vehicle is 21 years and the maximum age is 75 years.

Credit Card Payments to the Depot:
When pre-paying your motorhome rental, AUS and NZ Travel do not charge credit card fees on Visa or Mastercard Payments (Amex and Diners on request). Any payments made directly to the depot at the time of pick up or drop off for optional extras, fees and securty deposits are subject to a credit card fee of 1.5% for Mastercard and Visa. Amex and Diners will incur a charge of 4%.

Depot Hours:
Depots are open Monday to Sunday 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Pick up and drop off is available at any time during depot hours.
Depots will be closed on Christmas day, New Years day, and Good Friday.

Transfers:
Vehicles must be collected and returned to our branches (not airports). A transfer to the Apollo branch from the Airport and vice versa is provided free of charge.

Travel Restrictions:
Two Wheel Drive Vehicles can only be driven on sealed/bitumen roads. The only exception to this is the last remaining kilometres of loose road surface on any major ski field access roads or any recognised campground access road less than 500 metres in length.

No vehicle shall be driven on Skippers Road (Queenstown), Ninety Mile Beach (Northland), Ball Hut Road (Mt. Cook) and North of Colville Township (Coromandel Peninsula). Apollo reserves the right at its sole discretion to restrict vehicle movements in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions.
