2018 - 2019 Flex Rates
Valid from 01 April 2018 - 31 March 2019

Flex Rates give you the very best available price for the motorhome you want to rent. If you book early and there are plenty of motorhomes available, you will pay a much lower price. If you book closer to departure date or book for a high demand period then the rate will be higher.
 
However, once booked, should you need to amend the dates, the prevailing rates will apply. We get advised of new flex rates each week. Therefore each quote only valid until the end of each week.

Available Vehicles for Hire
Re 4WD Vehicles: 4WD Vehicles are only available to and from Broome, Darwin, Alice Springs, Cairns, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth (except for the Scout 4WD which is available for Darwin to Darwin hires only). 4WD Vehicles are also available for Hobart to Hobart hires from 01 April to 29 April and 30 October to 31 March.


Rates are calculated per calendar day.

The flex rate for the entire duration of the rental is determined by the date of pick-up, location and date of booking. The daily rate will not change within one booking.

Amendments prior to the vehicle collection date will be re-calculated at the flex rate applicable on the date of amendment. This applies to changing the vehicle type, reducing the number of rental days, changing pick-up dates and/or changing the pick-up or drop-off location. Where the number of rental days is being extended prior to pick-up (days are being added on at the end of the rental with no change to the original pick up date), or the bonus pack is being added
to or removed from the booking, the original flex rate, which applied at the time of the original booking, will apply.

    * Goods and Services Tax (GST) - GST is an Australian Federal Government imposed tax. GST is included in all Britz rates and is currently 10%. Britz reserves the right to amend GST upon Government intervention.

    * Administration fee - A surcharge of 3% of the total cost will be levied to cover state government taxes, vehicle registration recovery, duties and administration costs. This fee is included in the daily vehicle rate.

    * Linen and bedding includes pillows, pillowcases, duvet / doona (4WD's have sleeping bags instead of duvets), sheets and towels per person.

    * Kitchen equipment includes cutlery & cooking utensils, china crockery - plates, bowls, cups (melamine for 4WDs), wine glasses (excludes HiTop, Voyager and 4WDs vehicles), drinking glasses, bottle / can opener, mixing bowls, colander, saucepans & frying pan, chopping board, electric jug (2WDs only), gas kettle, electric toaster (2WDs only), microwave storage containers & tea towel.

    * General equipment includes pegs and clothesline, dishwashing liquid sachet, dishcloth & scourer, bin liner, dustpan / brush, fire extinguisher, bucket, fresh water hose, broom (2wd's only), matches, clothes hangers (exludes 4WD's), toilet rolls (in vehicles with toilets), First Aid Kit (in vehicle - paid for when used).

    4WD Outback Safety Kit - The kit includes an Emergency Position Indication Radio Beacon (EPIRB), snatch strap with D shackles and a folding spade. An EPIRB when activated transmits an emergency distress signal which can be detected by Australian rescue authorities. A snatch strap is used to pull a vehicle from a bogged position with the aid of another vehicle. The D shackles secure the snatch strap to a rigid anchor point.

Britz Inclusive Pack:
The Britz Inclusive Pack for 2WD Campervan / Motorhome rentals is AUD $55 per day (maximum charge of AUD $2,750
per rental) and is in addition to the daily vehicle rate.

The Britz Inclusive Pack for 4WD rentals is AUD $59 per day (maximum charge of AUD $2,950
per rental) and is in addition to the daily vehicle rate.

The All Inclusive Option includes the following services in addition to the provisions included in the standard rates:

  • 'Liability Reduction Option' insurance supplement with NIL excess including single vehicle roll over cover
  • Linen exchange service (exchange your linen and bedding at any Britz branch during your hire)
  • Extra driver fees
  • 1 camping chair per person
  • 1 camping table
  • 1 baby or booster seat (on request only)
  • Portable fan heater (on request only)
  • Mobile WiFi including 1GB data (per hire not per day)

For Your Protection - Vehicle Excess ( 1.75mb PDF)
The standard insurance is included in the rental rates. The third-party element of this insurance comes with a maximum cover amount of AUD $20 million and covers bodily damage inflicted upon a third party. There is no insurance cover for injury caused to the renter or passengers of the rental vehicle and Britz does not provide an insurance option for this. Britz strongly recommends that all people travelling in Australia take out personal travel insurance.

If the Liability Reduction Option is not taken, the renter is liable for an excess of AUD $5,000 (for Hitop and Voyager), AUD $8,000 (for 4WD Vehicles) or AUD $7,500 (for all other 2WD campervans) per incident for vehicle damage in the event of an accident. This applies to any material damage to third-party property of the rental vehicle, regardless of who causes the accident. This liability remains in place no matter what until a third party admits liability and makes a payment to cover costs incurred.

In Australia, it is not compulsory for the locals to have third-party insurance. In the event of an accident or if someone flees the scene the renter is liable for any damage caused within the limit of the excess.

You can reduce the level of the excess or waive it as follows:
- The All Inclusive option can be booked in advance with us (see 'Inclusions' above - only available in advance - not at the depot). This option includes the 'Liability Reduction Option' insurance supplement.
- Alternatively, you have the option of purchasing the following insurance option locally as outlined below.

BRITZ STRONGLY RECOMMENDS OUR CUSTOMERS TAKE THE BUNDLE (IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE LIABILITY REDUCTION OPTION) OR THE BRITZ INCLUSIVE PACK, AND IN THE CASE OF 4WD VEHICLE HIRE, 4WD MAX COVER FOR TRAVEL WITH COMPLETE PEACE OF MIND.

Insurance Exclusions:
All insurance cover is null and void if the terms of the Britz Australia rental agreement are breached. Any damage that is caused when the renter acts outside of the rental company conditions is not covered by any insurance.

The insurance does not cover water / saltwater damage, including damage resulting from vehicle submersion, the vehicle being stranded in a water area, driving through causeways or beach driving.

Any damage caused by the vehicle rolling over where the renter is at fault is not covered by the insurance, unless you purchase the All Inclusive option. A vehicle rollover is deemed to have occurred where damage to the vehicle results from the vehicle rolling or tipping to such a degree that any or all tyres lose normal contact with the road surface.

Unless you have booked the All Inclusive Option or purchase the Liability Reduction Option locally, any damage to the underbody, roof or roof appendages is not covered. For hires with the 4WD vehicles, any damage to the underbody, roof or roof appandages is not covered unless you purchase the '4WD Max Cover' insurance supplement locally.

Any personal property that is damaged or stolen during an accident, vandalism or theft is not insured. Private insurance should be purchased in your home country to cover any such issues. In order to avoid theft of personal items from the vehicle it is advised not to leave any valuables in the vehicle.

In the cases listed below, the renter is fully liable for damage to the rental vehicle and third-party property, i.e. no insurance cover whatsoever is provided:

  • 1) Any Damage due to vehicle use in contravention of our terms - "Use of Vehicle";
  • 2) Any Damage caused by wilful misconduct (e.g. sitting or standing on the bonnet or roof of the Vehicle) and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and negligence resulting in Damage to the hired Vehicle or third party vehicle/property;
  • 3) Any loss or damage to personal belongings or property of the Customer (or any person or entity related to the Customer or any person as a passenger in the Vehicle);
  • 4) Any Damage where the Customer is charged by local authorities for being careless, showing gross negligence or wilfulness in failing to abide by the local road rules, resulting in Damage to the hired Vehicle or third party vehicle/property;
  • 5) Retrieving or recovering a Vehicle which may include, but is not limited to a Vehicle that has become bogged, submerged, caught, trapped, stuck or restricted in any way and/or has been abandoned;
  • 6) Replacing keys which have become lost, stolen, or retrieval of keys which have been locked in the Vehicle;
  • 7) Any overhead and underbody Damage to the 4WD Vehicle however caused - except where 4WD Max Cover has been purchased;
  • 8) Any overhead and underbody Damage to the 2WD Vehicle however caused - except where the Liability Reduction Option has been purchased;
  • 9) Any single Vehicle rollover (as described in the terms), except where The Bundle (in conjunction with the Liability Reduction Option) or the Britz Inclusive Pack has been purchased;
  • 10) Any towing and Vehicle recovery costs (up to AUD $8,000) from a 4WD road where permission is required in advance from Britz in order to travel (refer to road restrictions in the terms for a full list of these roads) where the Customer has not purchased 4WD Max Cover;
  • 11) Damage caused to the Vehicle because total load (kg) has exceeded recommended load as stated in Vehicle manual;
  • 12) Damage caused by drivers not identified on the rental agreement and/or drivers that have a licence that has been cancelled or suspended and/or drivers who have a licence that is classified as a learner or probationary licence;
  • 13) Any Damage caused to the Vehicle due to the use of snow chains;
  • 14) Any Damage associated with the incorrect use of fuel (fuel being diesel or petrol), this includes Bio- Diesel which should not be used, or water or other contamination of fuel;
  • 15) Any Damage caused to the Vehicle due to part or total submersion in water;
  • 16) The Customer fitting accessories (as provided by Britz or otherwise) to the Vehicle incorrectly or otherwise in a manner which causes Damage to the Vehicle, the accessories or any other vehicle or property; and
  • 17) Using the Vehicle in contravention of any legislation or regulation controlling vehicular traffic.
Whilst we appreciate accidents may occur, there are also clearly cases of driver negligence where any insurance coverage is voided. This includes incidents where the driver is found to be in breach of the law in terms of speed, alcohol, drugs, or is found by the police or investigating authority to have been driving in a dangerous or negligent manner. In all such instances, Britz reserves the right to pursue full recovery from the renter.

Vehicle Security Deposit
With the standard insurance, the deposit (which covers the level of the excess) can be provided by credit card only. Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted, cash or travellers cheques are not accepted. The owner of the credit card must be present and sign when providing the deposit and he/she is liable for any damages to the rental vehicle. This deposit can only be provided by the renter as named in the booking and it cannot be spread over 2 or more credit cards.

Note: Please ensure that you have sufficient funds on your credit card before departure.

FOR SECURITY PURPOSES, ONLY THE HIRERS CREDIT CARD CAN BE USED FOR VEHICLE SECURITY DEPOSITS.

Exchange Rate / Currency Variations
All credit and debit transactions are conducted in Australian dollars. Due to exchange rate fluctuations and bank fees, there could be some variance between the amount initially debited against the Customer's credit or debit card and the amount refunded. Britz accept no liability for any such variation or any interest incurred on such amounts.

Credit Cards
Where a credit or debit card is presented as payment, the credit or debit card holder will be jointly and severally liable as a Customer. The following credit or debit cards will be accepted: Visa Card, MasterCard and American Express. A non-refundable 2% administration fee will apply to all Visa and MasterCard transactions. A non-refundable 2.8% administration fee will apply to American Express cards. Credit card administration fees also apply to debited Liability Deposits. Only the Customer's credit card is acceptable to use for the purpose of the Liability Deposit. The credit card administration fees are subject to change.

Personal and Company Cheques
Personal cheques, company cheques and bank transfers will not be accepted as payment for rental charges at the time of pick up. These must be received by Britz 28 days prior to commencement of rental. Personal cheques, company cheques or bank transfers are not acceptable as the Liability Deposit and a valid credit card will need to be provided for the purposes of our terms.

Drivers Licence
A full (non-probationary) resident country driver’s licence must be presented at the time of rental for each nominated driver. If the licence is not in English format, an international driver’s licence is also required.

Age Restrictions
Drivers must be 21 years of age or over.

Extra Driver Fee
An extra driver fee applies for each additional driver's licence added to the rental agreement except where The Bundle or the Britz Inclusive Pack has been purchased. ($2 per day - max charge $30 per rental).

Additional Kilometre Charge
All 4WD Vehicles have 300 kilometres included per rental day. Thereafter a charge of $0.50 per kilometre may apply. Customers who purchase the 4WD Max Cover will be upgraded to unlimited kilometres per day.

The Bundle - Equipment Package
Equipment package (The Bundle) which is AUD $10 per day, includes the following extras:

- Camping chair (per person)
- WiFi including 1GB data (per hire per day)

- Baby/booster seat (on request and if booked in advance)
- Portable heater (on request)
- Single Vehicle Rollover Cover (only when purchased with Liability Reduction Option)

Please note: the Single Vehicle Rollover cover included in The Bundle is only available in conjunction with the purchase of the Liability Reduction Option. All other items in The Bundle are available whether you have purchased the Liability Reduction Option or not.

Express Return Option
- AUD $150 for 2WD non-toilet/shower models (returning to ALL locations)
- AUD $150 for 2WD toilet/shower models (returning to ALL locations excl. Cairns, Melbourne, Sydney or Perth)
- AUD $250 for 2WD toilet/shower models (returning to Cairns, Melbourne, Sydney or Perth locations only)
- AUD $200 for 4WDs (ALL locations).

It includes the following:
- First LP gas fill (you can return the gas bottle empty)
- A full tank of petrol / diesel (you can return the vehicle with the fuel tank empty)
- Toilet and waste water emptying service if applicable (only available in Cairns, Melbourne, Sydney or Perth drop off only)
- Express key return *

* If you have booked the All Inclusive option or Liabilty Reduction option, you may simply return your keys to the counter when returning the vehicle without any need to do vehicle checks. This service only applies where no vehicle damage has occurred while on hire.

Baby / Booster Seats
Baby seats and booster seats are compulsory in Australia for children up to 7 years of age. Seats that are only attached to the frame of the vehicle (such as the middle seat in the front of most motorhomes) are illegal. It is not permitted to use child seats from UK/Europe or other countries that do not have the appropriate connection apparatus for motorhomes. Children under the age of 4 are not permitted to sit in the front of any vehicle.

You can rent baby seats (for children under 4 years) and booster seats (for children from 4 - 7 years old) for AUD $36 per seat per rental. This is a one-off payment and is valid for the entire rental period.

Child Seat: Suitable for child 0-4 yrs old. Cannot be fitted to all vehicles. See vehicle specifications for details.
Booster Seat: Recommended for children 4-7 years old. See vehicle specifications for details.

Please provide us with the age(s) and weight(s) of your children when you make your booking so that we can book the appropriate seat(s) for them. Baby and booster seats have to be booked in advance.

Rental Duration
Rental days are calculated on a calendar day basis. When calculating the number of days the Vehicle is rented, the day of pick-up is counted as day one of the rental, regardless of pick-up time. The day of the Vehicle's return is counted as the final day of the rental regardless of drop-off time.

  • Minimum rental periods are subject to change, and any such change will be notified to you prior to booking confirmation.
     
  • Minimum rental period for one-way rentals vary depending on the locations and this is advised at time of booking.
     
  • Late pick-up or early return of the Vehicle does not entitle the Customer to any refund of the unused portion of the rental.

Road Restrictions
2WD Campervans
2WD vehicles must not be used on any unsealed road (being a road not sealed with a hard material such as tar , bitumen or concrete). Off road conditions include, but are not limited to: fire trails, beaches, sand, tracks, fields or paddocks. The only exception to this is reasonable use of access roads limited to a maximum of twelve kilometres in length to recognised commercial campgrounds.

Anyone who drives on unsealed terrain or in restricted areas does so at his/her own risk. The renter is fully liable for any costs including towing, vehicle recovery, etc that result from a breakdown or accident in these cases and there is no insurance cover.

4WD Vehicles
4WD Vehicles can be driven on recognised unsealed tracks

  • 4WD Vehicles may only travel to the following areas with the written permission of Britz: Simpson Desert, Strzelecki Track, Gunbarrel Highway, Cape York, the Bungle Bungles, Oodnadatta Track, Birdsville Track, Tanami Track, the Plenty Highway, Gibb River Road, Burke Development Road from Chillagoe to Normanton, Savannah Way from Normanton to Borroloola, Finke Road (between Alice Springs and Oodnadatta), Central Arnhem Road and Arnhem Lan in general, and
     
  • Vehicles are not permitted on the Canning Stock Route, the Old Gunbarrel Hwy, the Lost City in Litchfield Park, the Old Telegraph Track section of the road to Cape York, Boggy Hole (Finke Gorge National Park), the Old South Road from Maryvale to Finke an Fraser Island at any time. Travel to Cape York betwee the months of December to May is not permitted. The Customer is responsible for all damage if travelling on these roads as defined in our terms.

The Customer acknowledges and agrees to pay to Britz a fee of AUD $300 on each occasion that it is dentified by Britz that:
i) a Customer has taken a 2WD Vehicle on an unsealed road or a Restricted Road; and or
ii) a Customer has taken a 4WD Vehicle on a Restricted Road,

The above will be due and payable by immediate deduction from the Customer's credit card.

We value your well-being, and for safety purposes, Britz reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to restrict Vehicle movements in certain areas due to:
(a) adverse road or weather conditions
(b) the distance to nominated destinations in relation to the length of the hire period; and
(c) any concerns Britz, its employees or agents may have regarding driver experience or ability.

Britz will advise you on pick-up of any travel restrictions known at that time.

Change of Drop-Off Destination
If the Customer wishes to change the drop-off destination, they must first obtain authorisation from Britz by calling 1800 331 454. Subject to the change being approved, an additional charge of up to AUD $750 may apply, which will be notified to you at time of approval and is required to be paid immediately via credit card. The fee may apply in all change of drop-off destination cases irrespective of the reason for the location change.

Multiple Rentals
Should a Customer have more than one consecutive rental, the bookings can be combined to qualify for longer-term hire discounts off the daily Vehicle rates. Consecutive campervan hire in South Africa for Britz and maui; and in Australia and New Zealand for Britz, Maui and Mighty can be combined to qualify if travel is within a 3-month period.

One Way Rentals

  • One-way rentals are available between all Australian depots. The following one-way fees apply at pick-up time.
     
  • A One-Way fee of AUD $165 applies where Vehicle collection originates from Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart or Adelaide and returns to one of these locations. Should the hire originate or return to Darwin, Broome, Alice Springs or Perth the one-way fee is AUD $250.
     
  • One-way fees are additional to any other fees that may apply. The One-Way fee will be charged to the Customer's credit card at the time of booking except in the case of a change in drop-off destination in accordance with our terms in which case the One-Way fee will be charged at the time that change is made.
     
  • Minimum rental period for one-way hires is 7 days or greater depending on collection and return location Shorter hires may be available on application only.

Rentals In Broome
An additional remote location fee of AUD $750 applies to all Vehicles picking up or dropping off in Broome (though if pick up and drop off both occur in Broome, only one remote location fee will apply). This is in addition to any One-Way fee if applicable. This fee will be charged to the Customer at the time of booking except in the case of a change in drop-off destination occurs in accordance with our terms in which case this fee will be charged at the time that change is made.

Hobart Airport Fee
A pick up fee of AUD $100 per hire will apply to Vehicles picking up in Hobart.

Vehicle Pick-Up
This takes place at the booked depot and during Britz' opening hours. Please do not arrive any later than 30 minutes before closing time.

Vehicle Return
You can drop off your vehicle at the booked depot during opening hours but no later than 30 minutes before closing time. If the vehicle is returned earlier than agreed no refunds are possible.

Late Drop Off:
If the Customer wishes to drop-off the Vehicle to a Britz branch after business hours, they must first get approval from Britz by calling 1800 331 454. The Customer will incur an additional fee of AUD $150 per day (in addition to the daily rate being charged) if the Customer fails to obtain such approval from Britz prior to the late drop-off of the Vehicle. This late drop-off fee and the additional rental charges will be charged to the Customer's credit card.

Rental Extension:
If the Customer wishes to extend the rental whilst on hire, they must first obtain authorisation from Britz by calling 1800 331 454. This is subject to availability. The extra cost of an extended rental must be paid by the Customer by credit card on confirmation of the rental extension.

If the vehicle is returned damaged or not in a clean state, if the toilet or waste water tanks are not emptied or the petrol or diesel tank is not full (except if the Express Return Option is booked in advance) the rental company will impose the listed fees and additional charges. The cleaning fee is AUD $250 + a further AUD $125 in the case of the waste water or toilet tanks not having been emptied.

Public Holiday Surcharge
A surcharge of AUD $100 will apply to all rentals picking up or dropping off on the following dates:

- 02 April 2018 - Easter Monday (applies to all Britz branches);
- 25 April 2018 - ANZAC Day (applies to all Britz branches);
- 07 May 2018 - Labour Day (applies to Brisbane and Cairns branches only) and May Day (applies to Alice Springs and Darwin branches only);
- 04 June 2018 - Western Australia Day (applies to Broome and Perth branches only);
- 11 June 2018 - Queen's Birthday (applies to Adelaide, Alice Springs, Darwin, Melbourne and Sydney branches only);
- 06 July 2018 - Alice Springs Show Day (applies to Alice Springs branch only);
- 27 July 2018 - Darwin Show Day (applies to Darwin branch only);
- 06 August 2018 - Picnic Day (applies to Alice Springs and Darwin branches only) and Bank Holiday (applies to Sydney branch only);
- 15 August 2018 - Royal Queensland Show (applies to Brisbane branch only);
- 24 September 2018 - Queen's Birthday (applies to Broome and Perth branches only);
- 01 October 2018 - Queen's Birthday (applies to Brisbane and Cairns branches only) and Labour Day (applies to Adelaide and Sydney branches only);
- 06 November 2018 - Melbourne Cup (applies to Melbourne branch only);
- 26 December 2018 - Boxing Day (applies to all Britz branches);
- 01 January 2019 - New Year's Day (applies to all Britz branches);
- 11 February 2019 - Royal Hobart Regatta (applies to Hobart branch only);
- 04 March 2019 - Labour Day (applies to Perth branch only);
- 11 March 2019 - Adelaide Cup Day (applies to Adelaide branch only), 8 Hours Day (applies to Hobart branch only) and Labour Day (applies to Melbourne branch only).

The opening hours vary for the rental depots depending on what time of the year you pick up or drop off your vehicle. All clients are requested to arrive at the rental depot no later than 30 minutes prior to closing time.

Brisbane:
- 01 Apr - 30 Sep: open 7:30am
- 4pm seven days a week - 01 Oct
- 28 Feb: open 10:00am - 4pm closed Sundays
- 01 Mar - 31 Mar: open 7:30am - 4pm seven days a week

Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney:
- 01 Apr - 30 Apr: open 7:30am - 4pm seven days a week
- 01 May - 31 Aug: open 10am - 4pm closed Sundays

Transfers
The transfer costs are not included in the rental rates. You will need to arrange and pay for these yourself.

Toll and Traffic Notices
Britz reserves the right to submit a statutory declaratio to the issuing authority and/or charge the Customer for any speeding, toll way, parking or other traffic offence. In addition, Britz reserves the right to charge an administration fee of up to AUD $60 for associated administration costs to the Customer's credit card upon receipt of a charge for any speeding, toll way, parking or other traffic offence incurred by the Customer. This fee will be applicable per offence.

If the Customer continues to exceed a speed of 110k or continues to exceed the posted speed limit, as determined by the Customer repeatedly ignoring the warnings of the telematics system fitted into the Vehicle, Britz may impose a fee on the Customer in the amount of AUD $300.

On-Road Assistance
Britz provides 24 hour on-road assistance support. Please contact Britz on free call: 1300 850 805 if you require assistance.

Any problems associated with the Vehicle including equipment failure, must be reported to Britz within 24 hours in order to give Britz the opportunity to rectify the problem during the rental. Failure to do so may compromise any claim for compensation. Subject to our terms, Britz reserves the right to not accept liability for any claims submitted after this period.

Maintenance and Repairs
Britz will reimburse the Customer for expenditure up to AUD $200 reasonably incurred in rectifying any mechanical failure to the Vehicle. For repairs costing over AUD $200, Britz will need to be informed and confirm the repair in advance. Repairs will be approved and reimbursement for expenditure will be made (where applicable), provided the Customer was not responsible for the damage. In all cases, receipts must be submitted for any repair or the claim will not be paid.

Unless the Customer has taken the Liability Reduction Option, the Customer will pay for the cost of repairing or replacing tyres damaged during the Rental Period except if the tyre is defective and is returned by the Customer to Britz for inspection and is subject to a warranty claim on the manufacturer.

Guaranteed Vehicle Model or Category
Britz will endeavour to supply the vehicle category selected, however should the Vehicle booked be unavailable through unforeseen circumstances, Britz reserve the right to substitute an alternative Vehicle without prior notification. The alternative Vehicle shall be as close a substitute for the booked Vehicle as possible.

Vehicle Category
Vehicles cannot be requested by make or model, only by vehicle category.

Voluntary Downgrade
Should the hirer decide to take a lesser vehicle than booked they will not be entitled to any refund.

Pets:
Pets or other animals are not permitted inside the rental vehicles, with the exception of guide dogs for visually impaired passengers.

Shortening of Rental Period:
If a renter shortens their hire period by more than a week - it may be treated as a cancellation of the whole booking and a re-booking. This depends on when the amendment takes place and how many days of hire are being cancelled. Please ensure you always have travel insurance in place.

Cancellation Policy:

  • If cancelled up to 91 days prior to pick-up - No Fee
  • If cancelled from 90 to 22 days prior to pick-up - 20% of gross rental
  • If cancelled from 21 to 7 days prior to pick-up - 30% of Gross Rental
  • If cancelled 6 to 1 days prior to pick-up - 60% of Gross Rental
  • If cancelled on day of pick up or No-Show - 100% of Gross Rental
  • If vehicle is returned early for any reason whatsoever there is no refund available for the unused days.

Booking Amendments
All amendments to bookings are subject to availability of vehicle and/or package. Different rates may apply based on the amendment made.

Amendments prior to the vehicle collection date will be re-calculated at the flex rate applicable on the date of amendment. This applies to changing the vehicle type, reducing the number of rental days, changing pick-up dates and/or changing the pick-up or drop-off location. Where the number of rental days is being extended prior to the vehicle collection date (days are being added on at the end of the rental with no change to the original pick up date), or the Inclusive Pack is being added to or removed from the booking, the original flex rate, which applied at the time of the original booking, will apply.

Important:
Britz reserves the right to refuse any rental at its discretion.
