Rates are calculated per calendar day. Standard Rate Includes:

Maui Premium Pack:
The Maui Premimum Pack is available for an additional AUD$50 per day.
This includes:
- Excess Reduction Option 2 (NIL Excess)
- No Worries Cover
- Pre-Purchase Gas Option
- Camp Table and Chairs
- Baby / Booster Seats (must be pre-booked)
Minimum Rental Period:
There is a minimum rental period of 5 Days for 2 berth vehicles, and 7 days for 4 and 6 berth vehicle. All one way rentals have a minimum rental period of 07-10 days.
Minimum of 7 days on all vehicles between 15 Dec - 05 Jan.
Minimum rental period are subject to change during peak periods. One Way Rentals:
One Way Rentals are available between all depots. A fee of AUD$200 applies. No one way fees for rentals 21 days and over.
Broome Surcharge:
An additional charge of $450 applies to all rentals picking up or dropping off in Broome. This is in addition to the one way fee if applicable.
Hobart Airport Fee:
An Airport fee of AUD$16.50 per hire applies for all rentals collecting from Airport Harbour. This fee is subject to change should Airport Fees rise.
PGO - Pre-Purchase Gas Option:
Spirit 2: AUD$19 per vehicle
Spirit 2 ST / Spirit 4 / Spirit 6: AUD$29 per vehicle.
The gas bottle can be returned empty to Maui at the completion of the rental. The fee applies for each part of a multiple rental.

Vehicle Insurance:
The Standard rates includes Vehicle Insurance with an Excess / Deductible of AUD$5000 per incident. This excess can be reduced by purchasing one of the following options:
Reduction Option 1:
Pay an additional AUD$20 per day (max $1000), and this will reduce the excess to AUD$2500 per incident.
Bond AUD$2500 (debited).
Reduction Option 2:
Pay an additional AUD$38 per day (max $1900), and this will reduce the excess to NIL.
Bond AUD$220 (Imprint).
No Worries Cover:
No Worries Cover can only be purchased when you have purchased the Excess Reduction Option 2 above. No Worries Cover covers accidental overhead and underbody damage done to the vehicle.
AUD$50 per rental.
Windscreen and Tyre Damage:
When you have purchased the options giving you NIL excess, you will be covered for accidental damage. Should these amounts be exceeded the cost to repair or replace the
items will not be covered and will be the responsibility of the hirer.
**For Australian Residents, check you Travel Insurance Policy as you may be covered for rental vehicle excess up to a certain amount. If you do not yet have travel insurance, ask us for a quote. We offer a 20% discount on Travel Insurance when booked with your motorhome rental.
Security Deposit:
You are required to leave a security deposit at the time of pick up. Details noted under insurance options above.
Minimum and Maximum Age:
The minimum age to drive the vehicle is 21 years. For drivers of 75 years and over, a medical certificate is required stating that they are fit to drive.
Credit Card Payments to the Depot:
When pre-paying your motorhome rental, AUS and NZ Travel do not charge credit card fees on Visa or Mastercard Payments (Amex on request). Any payments made directly to the depot at the time of pick up or drop off for optional extras, fees and securty deposits are subject to a credit card fee of 1.5%.
Depot Hours:
Depots are open Monday to Sunday 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Pick up and drop off is available at any time during depot hours.
Depots will be closed on Christmas day.
Travel Restrictions:
Motorhomes can only be driven on sealed/bitumen roads. The only exceptions to this are well maintained access roads to recognised campgrounds, and the roads on Kangaroo Island (South Australia).
Maui reserves the right at its sole discretion to restrict vehicle movements in certain areas due to adverse road or
weather conditions, and the distance to nominated destinations in relation to the length of the hire period. |
